Setting Up the System
Configuración del sistema

Plug the control cable A (blue
plugs) into the A jack on the
rear of the DVD/CD tuner
system.

Plug the other end of the cable
into the A jack on the rear of
the powered subwoofer unit.

In the same way, plug one end
of the control cable B (black
plugs) into the B jack on the
rear of the DVD/CD tuner
system, and the other end into
the B jack on the powered
subwoofer unit.

Plug the L-shaped end of the
display cable into the connector
on the rear of the display unit
(AXX7163).

Plug the other end of the display
cable into USE ONLY WITH
AXX7163 jack on the DVD/CD
tuner system.

Bend the stand in the direction
indicated by the arrow.

Clip the loop onto the stand.
c
If you want to fix to a wall or
other surface, perform step b
after first securing the stand
with screws.
It is recommended that you
determine the reception strength
before securing the stand with the
screws.

Twist off the plastic insulation
on the end of each strand of the
AM antenna.

Connect one wire of the AM
loop antenna to each AM
antenna terminal.
For each terminal, press down on
the tab to open; insert the wire,
then release to secure.

Twist off the plastic insulation
on the end of each strand of the
FM antenna.

Connect one wire of the FM
antenna to each FM antenna
terminal.
For each terminal, press down on
the tab to open; insert the wire,
then release to secure.
• Keep antenna cables away from other
cables, the display unit and main unit.
• To ensure optimum reception, make sure
the FM antenna is fully extended and not
coiled or hanging at the rear of the unit.
• If reception with the supplied antenna is
poor, see page 72 of the main Operating
instructions, Connecting external
antennas.

Connecting up
When connecting this system or changing connections,
be sure to switch power off and disconnect the power
cord from the wall socket.
After completing all connections, connect the power cord
to the wall socket.
• Remove the paper from the non-skid
pads, and stick three onto the base of
center speaker.
• The subwoofer can be used laying flat,
if you prefer.
• Retire el papel protector de las gomas
antideslizantes y pegue tres en la
base del altavoz central.

Conexiones del sistema
Al realizar o cambiar las conexiones del sistema,
asegúrese de apagar la unidad y de desconectar la toma
de alimentación.
Después de realizar todas las conexiones, enchufe de
nuevo la toma de alimentación.

Conecte el cable de control A
(clavijas azules) en la toma A de
la parte trasera del sintonizador
del DVD/CD.

Conecte el otro extremo del
cable en la toma A de la parte
trasera del subwoofer.

Siguiendo el mismo
procedimiento, conecte uno de
los extremos del cable de control
B (clavijas negras) en la toma B
de la parte trasera del
sintonizador DVD/CD, y el otro
extremo en la toma B del
subwoofer.

Conecte el extremo de cable del
visualizador (en forma de L) en
el conector de la parte trasera
del visualizador (AXX7163).

Conecte el otro extremo de cable
del visualizador en la toma USE
ONLY WITH AXX7163 en el
sintonizador del DVD/CD.

Despliegue el soporte en la
dirección indicada por la flecha.

Enganche el cuadro en el
soporte.
c
Si lo quiere fijar a una pared,
lleve a cabo el paso b después
de asegurar el soporte con unos
tornillos.
Se recomienda determinar la
intensidad de recepción antes de
fijar el soporte con los tornillos.

Retire el aislamiento de plástico
de cada extremo del cable de la
antena de AM.

Conecte un cable de la antena de
cuadro de AM a cada terminal de
la antena de AM.
En cada terminal, presione la
pestaña para abrirlo, introduzca el
cable y suelte la pestaña para fijar
el cable.

Retire el aislamiento de plástico
de cada extremo del cable de la
antena de FM.

Conecte un cable de la antena de
FM a cada terminal de la antena
de FM.
En cada terminal, presione la
pestaña para abrirlo, introduzca el
cable y suelte la pestaña para fijar
el cable.
Nota
• Mantenga alejados los cables de la
antena de los demás cables, del
visualizador y de la unidad principal.
• Para asegurar una recepción óptima,
cerciórese de que la antena FM esté
totalmente extendida, y de que no esté
colgando o enrollada en la parte trasera
de la unidad.
• Si la recepción con la antena
suministrada resulta de mala calidad,
véase Conexión de antenas externas en la
página 72 del Manual de instrucciones.

• When you use the front/surround speakers on the
floor, insert the speaker stand into the two central
holes of the speakers.
